  • Lower Galveston Bay 07.27.12

I didn't have much of a topwater bite this trip. I only managed three on tops despite numerous blow ups. Ironically, the more aggressive strikes all seemed to result in 'pull-offs'. The remainder came on live bait (croaker/pinfish). The trout ranged in size from 15.5" to 21.5".

SLP is considered Lower West Bay. I'm referring to the area north of the causeway (railroad bridge side). If I'm not mistaken, the following roughly illustrates the boundaries of Lower Galveston Bay.
