Finally got my boat back in the water after a few weeks getting a new lower unit installed. Had someone run into the back and then took off. State Farm took care of it with a new lower unit.
Greeted with a beautiful sunrise as Pat and I head out to the wells.
Great running conditions with calm seas, little to no tide movement allowed me to give the boat a good workout. Ended the morning with 22 Specs
1 Flounder, a couple of large Ribbon Fish, and a Shark Cut-off. All caught on plastics in 7-9' and released to fight another day.
Boat ran great, burned off a few pounds with the heat and a good lunch at Whataburger.
Going to look at re-powering in the next few weeks and going with a 4 Stroke. With the new lower unit I should be able to trade in or sell out right at a good price. This 02 Merc 150 XL has been a great motor but I want to put the new 150XL4S on the Bay Stealth to get a little better fuel use as prices continue going up.
