Went back out to GSC today and fished from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. It was either sprinkling or pouring, but no lightning so I put on some rain gear and targeted some more flounder. Tide was way out for the entire time I was out there. Ended up catching and releasing about 15 flounder on chartreuse H&H curly tails tipped with frozen finger mullet. Kept a limit of flounder from 18"-21".
I'm noticing that the flounder are mostly stacked up in the most protected water along structure. Any areas that are exposed to the wind and have even the slightest ripples from the wind, or have strong currents were not holding a lot of flounder.
The best bite today occurred immediately following the rainstorms when the rain started to let up. Once the next line of showers blew in the bite slowed down.
