The flounder are still biting along the ship channel shorelines.
Finding protected water and fishing during strong tidal movement are key for catching a bunch. I'm still using red and white curly tail grubs tipped with frozen finger mullet. Some fish were caught on the deep mud drop-offs from 4 to 15 feet, but most of the fish have been bedded up tight to the bulkheads in about 5 feet of water.
Fog was pretty bad yesterday, but I still went in my kayak. Visibility was about 1/8th mile in the morning. Ended up with a limit from 17" to 21". Also caught and released a nice one last week that was 24" and about 6.5 lbs.
Overall, the quality of fish improved today with the overcast conditions. It was a little too sketchy to fish from the kayak, so I just banked fished. Ended up with another limit today, all fish 20"-23".
