Had to get my flounder fix one more time before going back to work this week. I only fished until 10:00 AM to beat the heat. The tide was incoming during the morning and baitfish were getting destroyed around sunrise. The flounder were biting in much shallower water compared to the Friday and Saturday. There was lots of finger mullet and shad schooled up along the riprap and armored embankment shoreline. Most of the strikes I got were in less than 2 feet of water and sightcasting to nervous bait along the structure. Used up the remaining Gulp mantis shrimp that I had and got a limit of flounder and released 6 more keeper-sized fish. The bite slowed down around 9:30 AM.
