Made an afternoon trip today with Reeltime. We left the dock at about 1 -- tide was way out and just starting in. The first spot we stopped was crystal clear with no bait -- waded around for a bit with no takers and moved on to spot number 2. Water was less clear but still no bait. Moved on to spot No 3 and finally found the bait! Water temp was between 54 and 55 all afternoon and the wind was probably 10 - 12 at the highest. We picked up probably 20 or 25 trout (5 of which kept from 15" - 18" ), 1 small flounder and a rat red at the third spot we hit. All fish were caught on soft plastics - I was throwing plum/chartreuse assassins and Chris was throwing red/white. We stopped for a bit in the Diversionary on the way back to the dock and picked up one more speck 17" before dark. Great day to be on the water!!
