Got a late start this morning, because I had to wait on the wife to get her gear together, but we made a run to a south shorline cove that has soft mud. Jumped in and things were slow, but I saw some mud streaks and mullet flopping around, so I made my way over there. A few cast later, landed a 16" trout, which I released. Few cast later another 16-17" trout, released. Had a few more like that, so I keep two around 18" for Ceviche tonight. Kept casting in the mud streaks and landed several rat reds and lost a nice fish, not sure what it was. Donna was getting frustrated, but she finally caught a nice flatty. Had to get back to the house and get some work done, so that was it. Wanted to hit the afternoon tide, but the fog came in!
