Went out yesterday to do a little wade fishing around San Luis Pass. I started fishing around 7:40 am with a light wind, probably 8-10 mph, coming out of the SSE. The sky was mostly cloudy clearing more throughout the day. Caught one undersized red and a 12" flounder in very shallow water. It wasn't until I moved farther out into the bay that the fishing began to pick up. Ended up breaking off twice and letting go 3 more reds right at 18-19". Caught three keeper reds just a little over 20" and two 16" flounder. I fished slow with a 1/4 oz jighead and dark colored flukes. Mostly a camo, dark green and brown, coloring. The fishing was over around 10:30 am. One minute there were baitfish all around you, and the next there wasn't a baitfish in sight. This is my first report so if I'm missing something let me know. Thanks and good luck
