  • Tops and Tails

I spent some time on my home waters on the upper coast this past weekend. The weather and conditions were near perfect: cool weather, overcast skies, light winds, and plenty of bait everywhere; conditions don't get much better, especially for surface plugs. I checked out a couple of areas that I hadn't fished since last year. I figured they should be producing given the pattern lately, areas with scattered shell near deep water.

I like a lot of side-to-side action when walking the dog. It keeps the bait in the strike zone longer and makes your lure appear more eratic which produces more strikes.
