Headed out with Jerry (Joques) this am. Wind was blowing about 15 when we got in the water and jumped up to 25 within an hour. The water was beautiful and there was plenty of bait. Never saw or smelled a slick all morning but the trout were feeding early. I hooked up 3 times and lost them in the first 15 minutes before I finally decided to use the net and finally strung a 16"er. Jerry followed it up with a 16 and then I had a monster blow up that pulled drag for a while before pulling off. I missed and lost a few more and finally connected on a 24"er that almost made it to 6 lbs. She wouldn't revive so strung her also. I lost 8 solid fish that I had on for a while and missed quite a few more. We caught a few more and then hit a cove but there was no bait present so we ran back across the bay in 25 mph winds and searched around Chocolate for a few reds, but all we could find were undersize. Had to cut out early so ran back home and to work noonish. All trout caught on Big Tops.....Super Spooks and She Dogs.
