SLP- wade fishing with my son
Put in @2004 bridge around 5:15 AM made it to the south shoreline before sun up. The water looked good and the wind wasn’t that bad yet. My first cast I get a real nice blow up on top water (white skittle walk?)Then boxed a couple more 20” to 22”. At this point my son wants to use my top water so I swap out my skittlewalk for his top water and he fishes with it for ten minutes or so the next thing I know he’s hooked up with something huge his rod bent in half and the spool on his Curado is getting lower and lower, I helped him out with the drag and the fight was on! It took about 30 minutes or more for him to win the battle but he got it. It was a big Jack; we walked back to the boat to get some pics then released her back in the water. Sorry for the terrible photo, I think my camera has water in it.

Sounds like a great time! Enjoy it while it lasts, cause my 19 year old eventually found cooler people to hang out with than his old man! Luckily, he is coming back around to fishing some.
