Had a buddy from my deer lease that lives in Dallas come into town and wanted to fish the salt. He had to be off the water by 10:30 and with the wind blowing as hard as it was I wasn't expecting much. We head out to a protected shoreline and jump out. We start throwing topwaters and I catch a couple carp(redfish) and I notice he just can't get the topwater thing down. So I rig him a worm and show him how to work it and shortly he sticks a carp. First saltwater fish ever and he's happy as a skinny flea on fat dog's as$. He goes on to catch several more carp and a trout. It's safe to say that he's ate up with it now. It ended up being a descent day with 8 carp and a trout, but only kept a couple for him to take home. With inlaws in BV, who don't fish, he's already planning his next trip back. Took a few pics of him with a couple of his fish.
