Got off work early enough before I had to get to class so I hit the water and tried my luck during the outgoing tide, well what I thought was the out going the tide was ripping in so I tried it any way. There was a ton of bait in the water from shrimp to glass shad to baby croaker so I started out throwing small bait 2 inches. The tide was rushing in so hard I had to go bigger just so I could get to the bottom.
I went with a 1/4 oz and a 1/8 oz tandem rig the bottom rig had a 3 inch wedge tail in glow/chart. And the top rig had a 2 inch curly tail in salt n pepper.
I was fishing soft mud and shell along channel edges. I managed to pick up three flounder 2 undersized and 1 keeper at 16 that I released and a 15 inch speck that a tossed back as well.
Sure was a beautiful day to be on the water. Called it a day at 330.
