Take a kid fishing ... !

A buddy and I had the pleasure of taking a couple kids fishing yesterday. High winds, rain and rollers wouldn't keep these kids down. Their parents had rented a friend's beach house for the weekend, and he asked if we'd put'em on some fish. Probably some folks here getting tired of seeing dead fish pics ... so I thought just post this one.

She was "just a 5" but she might as well have gone 32" ... Hooked for life for sure ... ! By the end of the morning we had him talkin'bout slicks, active bait, birds and structure. Sharp kid and he caught her on his own.

great job, getting to a young person like that and seeing the enthusiasm on their face is better than catching a double digit trout! congratulations, ya'll did a good job.

I don't know man. That double digit trout is a close photo finish ... ! Funny thing was I seemed to hook up every time one of the boys needed a hand. That fish Littleman caught there came right at me and his line caught me across the ear. I was handing myself my rod over his line and ducking under his line when mine got slammed too. BUT, when I saw his fish surface I just left mine out, boga'd his fish and handed it to him ... and then reeled in my trophy skip jack which some how didn't come off. Wish it would have.
