I got off at work early this morning so I went down to one of my bait holes and caught a few dozen finger mullet and then went out to the diversionary.
I am still using the slip cork method from my previous posts. It didn't take long for the fish to let me know it was going to be a quick trip. The first cast my mullet had barely touched bottom and I had a fish on.
From 12 until 1 it was non stop catching. I caught my 5 keepers in 45 minutes then I changed up my fishing and went after a few trout.
The trout fishing still is slow in my area but it should start picking up shortly. I only managed to catch 2 just under the 15" mark and about 7 lady fish.
