Got on the water early and pulled into Halls around 6:45. Smooth as glass, lots of bait, and not a fish to be found. Really surprised me as it looked perfect. Around 8:00 I hooked up with a big flattie...real big. Reeling him created a dang wake! Didn't measure him but my cooler is about 23" long and his head and tail both were curved up the sides. I started catching trout then with most of them throwbacks. Think I caught maybe 4 before I found one to keep. Left Halls and went to wade the north shoreline...a spot that's been good to me. Picked up one keeper red and one keeper trout. Back in boat and went into Greens to work the west shoreline as the wind set up perfect to work the entire shoreline. Caught three reds with one I am guessing to be over the slot...I say guessing as when he finally gave up at the boat and rolled over for me, instead of using my net, Super Genius made an appearance and I tried to horse him in the boat...snapped the line.
Bite kind of slowed by 10:30 but I managed to find a few more trout...I also watched to big pods just tearing it up...couldn't get to 'em with a broken trolling motor but cool to watch. In by 2:00 so in my opinion, great day on the water.
