  • 6/27: South Shore West Bay

I walked in real early on the south shoreline (around 5). I tried to pick a place that was sheltered from the SW wind. Water was in good shape over the grass beds. It was more sandy when I got out to waist deep but still pretty decent.

I caught 3 trout between 6:30 and 7. Biggest one was 3 1/2 pounds. Pretty quiet after that. Walked out about 8:30 so I could pick up La Señora and go have brunch. We're staying down on the island for a couple of nights without the little croakers ( woo hoo! ).

Good morning for me in otherwise tough conditions. All fish caught on assassins. Go get em boys.

Be careful. Don't hurt yourself down there.

We went in the afternoon, east of JYC's walk-in and only scared up a couple dink trout.
