I'll start off by saying, "What a beautiful day to be on the water!"
I decided to make a morning run to the marsh to catch the outgoing tide. My buddy Alex, "the kayak specialist," was with me and we made a long paddle upwind to drift a few drains and potholes. We made a long drift before I finally hooked up with a small redfish. I staked out and caught 3 more and lost a nice flounder due to operator error. DOH! Alex did the same as he laughed at me, so it made me feel better about my technique. A few casts later, this one was landed the proper way.
We chased pods of reds for the rest of the morning catching one every so often. Alex finally set up on a school of bigger fish and pulled a nice 24" to the stringer along with a flounder. Not a bad morning and it was a great workout.
Crawfish stuffed flounder for dinner! I made a lemon cream sauce to top it with, but I was too damn hungry to mess with the camera.
