  • Found the Reds this Weekend

FINALLY got to fish this weekend...Friday afternoon hit a south shore cove for an hour and caught two decent reds each at 22"...no big deal.

Saturday I got the spot I wanted to fish around 10. Hooked up immediately with a good red at 21". His buddy followed him up to he boat so I put that rod in the holder, grabbed my other rod, and he bit so a double to start. One got boxed and the second was a tad too small at 18" so he went back. I started to drift the shoreline and I caught fish after fish and every one was a beast...the smallest I caught on that shore other than the first two was probably 26"...they were pigs. I hooked up and boated six more on that one drift...boxed my three in the process. Had one flounder on that drift but lost him at the boat.

From there I decided to see if I could find more flounder...only found one and it was 14". Figured I would go over to the pass area but as soon as I got there the wind was snorting...tried a couple spots briefly before heading back in. Heck of a day on the water...hadn't caught that many big reds like that in a long long time.

Good to be back on the water...
