  • Bones, Bones, Bones

We got up this morning and walked the mile or so to where I got into the bonefish yesterday. There they were, and I had probably my best day of bonefishing ever, with no boat involved.

This is on the walk to the spot:

And this is what was just around the point - the first school of bones of the day.

    And - first cast....

The first fish of the day wound up being a break-off.

The school got in so close that I had to go to casting from my knees to keep them from seeing me.

And yes - those are bonefish behind me past my left shoulder.

    Another fish...

What can I say? I was bonefish crazy!

And yes, those bones are very, very skittish. I spotted another bunch right in the middle of a group of people swimming.

Gues where I will be in the morning!

We need to start a gofundme, so someone can go rescue him. I'm almost crying...

A cool thing about Red Wine: She's still sitting on Kenny's grave in good shape after a year and a half. I visited with Kenny last week.

When I built the boat, my wife said that there was no way that I would leave it out there because it would probably disappear. I told her that it didn't matter, I was building it for Kenny, not for me.
