Fished 3/3-6
3/3. Drifted west bay, meacoms - greens -confederate area making some long drifts and convered most of that area catching only a few one nice on about 25".
3/4 waded west bay cove 3-4 ft caught nothing.
3/5 kayaked the same cove drifting over deeper water at about 4pm-5:30. caught 16 trout one flounder in an hour and a half could have stayed and probably caught another 10 but I left because I forgot that I live in Galveston now. There was another guy near me wading from his boat he was also in them pretty thick. I believe he was wading in about 4 ft casting into around 6 ft. The fished seamed to be deeper @ 6ft. It was hightide little movement. E S/E wind around 13mph.
3/6 kayaked the same cove again drifting the same but towards the end of the incoming tide from 10am-12pm. Caught 8 trout. I could have stayed and kept on catching but I was hungry.
I think the incoming tide gets them going but the real awsome bite was in the evening. It seems the fish are moving into the coves but staying deep.
All trout release except one unlucky one for diner. Its fun washing all the trout slime from the kayak and waders.
