west bay scouting run 3-16-10

Scouted west bay this afternoon with Sneakypete. Nibbles where subtle and far between. Seeing tons of bait so it looks like it should turn on soon. Picked up this mud sucker had another one spit the hook and one dink trout. Appears the fish are still in deeper water. Sneaky and I had several other bumps but they dont seem to want to hit it hard and run with it.

Think I saw yall out there...the afternoon slack tide has been tough

Right where you ran thru the tide was rolling real good you ran right over the top of all those reds...did you see all that bait getting busted right in the gut in about 4 foot of water right out in front of where we were wading. Ray busted his red excatly where you ran... we watched them move when they heard your motor coming.were you fishin or heading in ?

I think he went 23 inches tall...

I could have swore he was 28 " LOL a little over 23" would be the real truth. But he fought like 28"!!!! Funny how one little rubber lip makes a trip that much better.
