afternoon wade 4/3

left a great crawfish boil in JB at 4:45
headed out for an afternoon wade solo
water was 75 in JB and 78.5 at the spot!
winds were 10 mph out of the SE
first spot was a s shoreline cove clear water
and bait aplenty but not even a bump!
got a call from a neighbor his boat wouldnt start
and they were at shell island so i left to go help
dead battery... so i got out a rope and we pull started her and they were off! so back to the plan!! went further west to the s shorline again
decided to throw topwater till sunset ..lots of bait moving
after about an hour i see a mullet making a run for his life!!
throw right behind him and a red exploded on my bait and missed it ....
twitch and another miss so i let it sit there and he absolutely crushed my ss jr!! FISH ON i realize after getting this fish close to me i left the stringer in the whaler so i start walkin back to the boat when a boat pulls in close
i gesture WTF the best i could and they turned and headed out
couple of pics and on the stringer ...no other blow ups
waded till sunset then the fog blew in off the beach couldnt see the boat 100 yds away!! thank god for GPS
