    Back Lake Beat Down 4/3 4/4

    I knew the crowds were gonna be crazy this weekend. So I decided to stick to the back lakes of west bay. i caught over 50 flounder this weeked mostly small males in the 12-16 range but I also lost several fish over 20". kept limits both days on flounder. As always the reds came easy some on the fly rod with a # 14 baby shrimp tight in the grass. The others were caught on Big Nastys and top waters. As for trout I really did not try due to the crowds on the main bay.

    here are a few pics I am really bad about not taking pics on the water but i am working on it.

              Nice. I like that one small, spotted up red.

              I miss fishing the back lakes, i haven't been back in any since a year ago or so i'd imagine.
