Galveston State Park
Tried to do a shakedown run with my brother and his new "electric" kayak around 10am today. The wind turned me around and did not even put in. I remember the last "windy" trip....... The fishermen that I did see coming out of the water were empty handed. One guy did say he caught a bunch of rat reds. On the way back I went to the weigh in for the Spectacular tournament at FTU around 3pm and kicked myself for not getting out "there" earlier. One guy had a stinger weighing 16 plus with a 9.6lb trout. Very fat. He said he caught it with a soft plastic.
