Anyone have some good tips on where to go in westbay besides main spots like sportsmans road? I'm gunna make a trip sunday morning.

San Luis Pass
I haven't fished there yet this year, but the pass should be heating up about now...on weekends walk in before light for the best opportunity to hook up with some shallow water trout action, i've also stuck some nice 20+ inch flounder on sand flats around this time of year at the pass...throw tops early, switch to plastics around 8:30 to look for the flounder,unless its overcast then sometimes the tops work all day...make sure you have a long stringer...I lost several fish to blacktips there last spring...good luck. -
Are you walking in or do you have a boat? OR19 gave some excellent advice, those trout will be in some really skinny water early.Comment

Just going to be wading. And ya I planned on going down to the pass just didn't know if you guys new any spots and baits that are hot right now.
