Launched at Sea Isle with Joe (fishcatchr) before dawn and headed west towards the water tower. Hopped out and about 20 minutes into the wade it starts pouring. We jumped back in the boat and headed east. Pulled off into a cove to find bait everywhere. Jumped in and you could see your feet in sternum-deep water. Though we were going to smoke em. Caught small slot on SSJR maybe 5-10 minutes into it. Joe missed a couple fish but other than that nothing. Ran to another cove and had nothing to show for it. Then we decided to run across the bay to another spot and ran into birds. We caught probably 25-30 trout over the next two hours chasing the birds. The wind was pumping and made it tough to stay on em. That and potlickers coming in our flock. After a while, we decided to head in and beat the storm that turned out to be nothing coming from Freeport. But we had some fun in the birds. Oh yeah, Joe hooked a seagull too
. If we weren't in fish I would have pulled the camera out, but I had to set my priorities at that point.....
