5/17 SLP This Morning

Started at dawn on the bay side and caught two big trout right away on Jimmy Houston SS jr. The fist were in shin deep water close to the shore line. Later I caught a few 18-20 trout (these on catch 2000 jr.) and three slot reds on top.
One trout 5# and one 5.5#s.
I caught the first and largest one close to the boat so I walked it back and took a crappy phone photo.
Water was beautiful but bite was over by 8:30......beach front also on and I'll hit it later this afternoon probably.

Nice job on the big trout. I was looking for one this morning with Nathan. We caught some on top to about 20". Went all over the bay looking for fish after the bite died there and didn't get anything.
