  • Great Day 7/16/10

    Great Day 7/16/10!!!
Took a customer/close friend and his 2 sons and another good friend out to West Bay yesterday, we have a great time and even better catching fish.
On the water at 6 and off by 10:45, found a huge group of birds working over mix shell/mud/sand in about 5.5 fsw and tm/drifted them for a solid 2 hours. It was the best group of birds I've worked in more than a year! Just a ton of fish under them working over the shrimp and glass minnows.
Probly boated well over 50 fish, the boys had a ball. I rigged them up on a cajun thunder pc with about 2.5' leader and 1/4 oz.jh with gulp shrimp and they caught everything, hardheads, huge croaker, gafttop, rat reds, specks, sandies, ladyfish and flounder.
It sure felt good to put the youngin's on 'em today, let me tell ya, that was one proud papa!!!
I was pretty pumped as well, I also caught 3 solid trout over 20" and some BIG sandies (3-4#'s)!!!

Hope y'all tear 'em up this weekend!!!
