Today the birds did not lie, there were trouts and reds under them. When the sun goes down the birds go away, but the fish don't seem to care. No wind today so it was real quiet, save for the sound of a lonely pushboat with nothing to push. This allowed me to home in on the schools by ear, and sneak up on them via silent electronic propulsion. It was an hour past dark when I finally came to my senses and headed home. Ran aground coming back into highland bayou, again, it just doesn't look right at night. Didn't keep count but I caught a lot of undersized reds and trout, a few keeper trouts, and a whiting.
