Made an early morning trip with Jerry (Jocques). Plan was to sight cast to reds in the marsh.
No tide movement until 9:30am, water was back up to normal low levels.
Water temp was in the low to mid 60s and beautiful green everywhere we went.
There were storms on and off all morning which made it tough to see fish along with the higher tides. I scratched out a limit of reds 21, 23 & 27 (8lbs) and we caught a bunch of 15"-19"ers and a lot of undersize trout along with 2 keepers. Jerry caught the keeper Trout and a bunch of undersize trout and reds.
We stopped at a few winter spots just to check em out on the way in and only found 1 small trout. Still a ways off. Lots of shrimp in the bay and back lakes.
It was a fun and challenging morning. Thanks Jerry!
