Got out yesterday around mid morning, went to a south shoreline cove looking for trout. Waded a long stretch of shoreline picking up 2 trout. I think they were a little deeper, too deep to wade. When I left I drifted a little deeper than where I was wading and picked up one more and missed a few. Went back out to fish around 430 that evening. Picked up 2 more trout, both around 19-20" and that was it. They are really scattered, can't find a consistent bite.
Today I decided to hit a new area on the north shoreline. Pulled up around 8 and had the whole shoreline to myself It was void of bait but I decided to give it a try anyway. After about 5 minutes I was bowed up with a 22" red, let him go and caught another one around the same size. Went out a little deeper looking for trout but came up
empty handed. Made one more stop at a cove and did not get a hit. It's not going to be pretty but I think we need that nasty cold front to hit, the water temps were almost 70 degrees today.
