Conditions
Hard incoming tide
Wind - South 10-15 and then SE 10.
Water - off color, but nice
Donna and I took our neighbor out this morning and we made the decision to keep it simple, so we drifted Chocolate Bay with popping cork and shrimp. 10 minutes into the first drift, Donna hooked up on a nice 25" red, she was fighting it all the way to the boat and then it made a mad dash under the boat and to the back. She thought it would get tangled in the motor, so she jerked it back and POP!! There goes a $ 200 Pepper Rod (I laughing) (she is pissed).
Thanks to James (our neighbor) he brought an extra rod, so Donna was able to keep fishing. James caught a nice 22" red and Donna caught an 18" trout. Other then that is was really slow, I guess that front still has the fish lock jawed.
Look in Donna's left hand.
