How is the fishing in the bayou?

Going to take the yak out and launch at lutes. How's has the fishing been in the bayou? Should I go up the bayou or down.

Yesterday up the bayou we saw a ton of big GAR ... the reds were around and the trout have been on the small side ...

If your yaking it... I would put in at 2004, and go south to the small bay on the other side..... there is the dredging pipe running through there so no boats have been hitting that area...... throw brite color gulps, under a popping cork that make s lots of noise

I caught plenty of rats 15"-17" at the 39 marker to the right up and down the grass lines this past Saturday. Silver flaked bass assassin under a popping cork. Throw backs but lots of fun especially if your in a yak.
