Team Castabouy decided to make a run down to chocolate today. Got to Lutes about 7am and were meet with very low water levels. Decided to run to 2004 and launch. After a little effort we were able to start our day. We went south into the bay, hoping to find something before the wind really starting blowing. Our first stop was at an area that i wackedem really good for a month last December. Well long story short, In a hour and a half we had 15 keeper trout to 22 plus (bouy37's new PB), no dinks, 3 small keeper flounder, 1 short red and 1 keeper red.
With wind picking up and the 2 of us getting really cold we decided to make a run up the bayou. We made a couple of stops and picked a few dinks. Stopped in at Lutes for a pop and candy bar and tried to warm up a little. After leaving Lutes we headed north, made a drift and didnt get a bump. Then we ran back down to the bay to see if the fish we left biting were still there, and yes they were. Picked up several more and left them again to go check some other areas. Unable to find anything else we came back to them a third time and picked up several more.
Ended the day with 35 plus keeper trout and very few dinks. Most fish came a paddle tail type bait, pink was the hot color. All fished were CPR'D.
On a side note the bay and bayou were lower than ive ever seem them. We spent some time just riding around the bay trying to learn more cuts and such.
Jason if i forgot anything please feel free to add....
i have some pics but i have to resize them first...will add later
