Well boys the water did not look that great when I put the boat in the water, but the further out I went the better it looked. My father-in-law and I ran into new and it looked like chocolate milk, but I decided to try it anyways and hooked a 5 ft gar and called it a day in there. We ran out of new and fished the color change out along long reef and that is where we found the fish.
There was a lot of birds and blow ups along the change and a few potlickers as well. Find your own fish....
We managed two limits of reds and I pulled off a Texas Slam. Reds to 27"s, trout to 18"s, and one flounder that went 21"s.
All caught along long reef on paddle tail lures. I doubt that the water will hold long as there was a lot of trash coming out of the bayous as well as that Chocolate water. If your gonna run you better do it in the morning or tomorrow evening at the latest.
