had a small window to fish today form 1:00-3:30 p.m. so we took off. My father-in-law and I headout from 2004 and out into the bay to get greeted with hard rain and lightning. We decided to make a run of it anyways since this is the last time we can fish till next week due to poor planning on our wives part

Anyways.... the water was in good shape out on the mid-bay reefs and there was a lot of bait fish around as well. We managed to make a few cast in between lightning storms and snagged a few fish. I got one 14" mackerel, and two reds - 25" and a 27". Lost my 3rd when he dove down on the back side of the reef a broke me off. Father-In-Law had one come unbuttoned and had one blow up on a top water but that was it. All fish released today.
We made a run in when another storm was heading our way. There are fish out there just have to deal with the storms, but probably not worth it. Good luck if you go and stay safe.
