Chocolate Bayou

Hi Guys and girls

will be fishing south of Liverpool towards the Chocolate bayou on Friday. This is a first for me, what should I be treating this time of the year, what kind of bait, rigs and area should I look at fishing?

I believe I'd be throwing a little bit of everything right now. I like to throw plastics on a 1/16 oz jig head working the drop off along the shoreline. If I have any live shrimp I pretty much do the same thing with them under a popping cork. If I'm feeling lazy I'll just soak some dead shrimp or cut bait while anchored up somewhere. You may have to work for it this week. Water conditions are going to come in to play later . Supposed to rain and turn off colder before Friday. Don't let that stop you though. I've caught fish with icicles hanging off my nose. Good luck to ya whatever you decide to do.
