Took a drive down Bluewater Highway from Surfside to SLP today.
The road is open all the way but is very rough and/or missing in many places.
Frequent barricades and bypasses.
You can drive the paved road from Surfside to near the Cell tower @ access#5.
Then the road diverts onto the beach.
The road rejoins the paved road about a mile south of the Peregrine Condo's. From there, past Ernie's, down to the old condo legs the paved road is good. Near the condo legs the road is damaged and you go thru some gravel and dirt sections.
Then a short length of paved road until you get down near the Brite Lite store. There the road has severe damage and you have to drive around barricades.
The section right in front of Brite Lite is good.
The SLP bridge is open and the toll booth closed.
The boat ramp @ Ernie's is open and clear. It is usable.
The parking area is somewhat congested due to piles of debris.
Ernie's Bait looked bad. Severe damges and they were NOT open.
Water in SLP looked fantastic! Green and clean.
Wind was from SOUTH about 6to8.
Bait stands along Hwy332 in Surfside were open and flying white flags.
The Moonpie is going fishing tomorrow even if it hair lips the Pope!
