Decided to take the kids out for a bit this afternoon to chunk some dead bait. I found a spot in the canal that had green water mixing with the crappy red runoff water and threw out the anchor. The tide was running out fast. The little guys caught quite a few hard heads and 3 or 4 nice sized croaker and a few small drum. I wasn't even planning on fishing but as the sun started to go down the trout started to hammer the bait along the color change line. I put on a bone spook and got about 10 blowups and one pull-off before the mosquitoes got too bad to stay any longer. Glad we got out before all the rain starts back up -- they were itching to go and had a great time.
