Went to E matty on Saturday. Wind was out of the NE at a good clip, most of the bay was white cappin and off color. Went to the East end of the bay trying to find some decent water. All i found was all the other people fishing. Went back down around the tri pod area, found a little protected area along the shore, saw a couple of birds workin. Jumped out of the boat, waded towards them, and realized it was a small group of red fish.
I was able to get 4 of the to eat my spoon, they were real spooky and all about 18".
I noticed the wind was starting to lay and switch directions. By now it was about noon. I got back in the boat and headed out into the bay. It didnt take long, and the birds started working. Scratched out a limit to about 19"
in about 3 hours. All on dark snad eels.
