    The clips are easier and last. Keep some extra ones in the truck, and IF you have a connection fail, you can fix it in a couple of minutes and go on about your way. No goo, no shrink wrap, no trouble.

    I have no fenders.

          With regard to the problem of ....." problems with pole lights......I can't tie off the bow line, then launch and pull my trailer out without getting out of the truck and getting the bow line over the pole".......

          I had the same problem ... I added Velcro tabs on TOP of the poles. I snagged the painter/bow line onto the Velcro. When I backed up and pulled away....the line pulled out free from the Velcro on the pole and dropped on the OUTSIDE of my trailer.

          I takes a very long line to make it work. regards, Rich
