Yamaha 4 stroke 115 are very reliable in the horse power range your looking for. We see more Suzuki's and Evinrude's than the Yamaha's and Merc's for problems. Suzuki has a weak gear case and internals, In the 4 strokes 115 the Mercs Serial #'s OT178500-1B366822 and Yamaha's F115 are the same motors. This is just an observation from what we see in the shop.Bryan Evans
