Was out running around today.My boat will usualy get 6000 when you throttle down.Its only getting 5300 now.Only run around 40 at 5100 ropm.Usually runs 40 at 4800.

Mine will do that when one of the resistors in the spark plug boot goes out & runs on 5 cylinders, I have a Yamaha.

Could be that the gas is old & separating, A clogged fuel filter,a piece of gunk it one of the carbs, maybe if you have a fuel water separator it needs to be changed. Good Luck!

He mentioned the rpm's changed, I think the fishing line would only affect the speed of the boat.
