Went out last night with the goal of getting a couple fish to bring back to Austin for some family friends that are helping me out.
Pretty poor conditions. The wind was up, and the tide was so far out that by the time you got to deep enough water, there was no protection from the wind ripples. To make matters worse, the clarity was sandy. No fish at the first spot. Stopped at a 2nd, and was able to find 2 keepers as well as a couple chips. Got one of the chips to sit on my hand by working it under him very slowly, good fun.
Slow evening but I am happy I didn't return empty-handed.
Ya'll know what a 15 and 17" fish look like so no pics of them, but this biggun is noteworthy, and probably a PB for me!
