Dude, I've actually been able to slowly worm my hand underneath a tater chip and lifted him up and had him bedded on my hand. Then I flipped him up into the air and he took off like a bat outta hell when he made splashdown

I agree, I've never heard of a flounder hitting a lure while a gigging light was on it. I've actually never caught a flounder at night, so I don't even know if they feed then.
