Went out last night with a few friends to a place where they had been catching some trout. We fished for almost 2 1/2 hours.
I landed 6 keepers, big G landed 6 and another guy landed 10. There were two other guys that caught a few few keepers too. The three of them left to go gigging, I left to go home.
Before I got to my truck I looked at the other guy ( his flounder boat is out of comission ) that was leaving and said " Wanna go get my boat and gig a few hours". So off we went.
We were in the water by 12:30A.M. It was pretty slow. No multiples just singles every 15 - 20 mins.
Water ranged from crystal clear to hateful. All the fish were in the sandy mud not the mushy gushy stuff. Biggest was prolly 19". Did see several tiny flounder and only one borderline fish. Saw several fresh beds with no visitors. I did see what appeared to be flounder boat tracks in the mud down a few different shorlines. Only problem was we were the only giggers out there on opening night.
