  • Friday Night Gigging

Stinging Bee and I went out last night around 9pm. The wind conditions were perfect but the tide was very high and clarity was also an issue. When we went to the pass we counted 25 people gigging the galveston side, Wow! We knew there would be people out since it was Friday but we have never seen so many so close. We saw many beds but only 8 flounder all night. Passed on 3 and took 5. Tried to pick up a few by hand, thats always fun.

Highlight of the night was when we both gigged the biggest flounder while walking next to eachother. We both hesitated thinking the other would strike him and ended up sticking her together at the exact same time. 4 prongs in the head equals not getting away!

Shot some video and pics, Stinger will post his later.

We were out at the camp on Titlum Tatlum and had 4 different flounder boats working it over until 4 in the morning.
