  • Sarurday night 5-11-13

I had cancelled my plans to go due to the rain, but at the last minute decided to head down to a walk-in spot. Water was really dirty on the south shoreline. Around Midnight the wind started to blow harder....maybe 12 to 15 which wiped out the night. Ended up with 2 fish. A 16 1/2 and an 18. I saw 4 small ones. Stayed pinned tight to shoreline
due to water conditions. LOTS of stingrays....( I hate those d**n things).
I saw a 15 inch see turtle sea turlte right up against the grass. First time I have seen one of these....Checkered orange back. Very pretty. It is hard to see the nice colors in the picture. I stuck a nice blue crab heading back to the truck.
Mom got the fish added to the other things I bought her for Mother's Day.

I like those kind of nights. Sometimes the flounder is just the bonus. I'm starting to get the fever again.

Not that much different than a Karankawa indian hunting the shallows at night with a torch and a spear.
