Has anyone figured out if it will work yet? Got the batteries hot and the net ready. Should be almost as easy as gigging.

walk around with a rod and fish for them when you find them. Drag that jig across his mouth and get him to bite. I've done it during the day when I came across one along the shore. Drug the doa shrimp across his mouth and he ate it.

Hook and line only is how it is worded. I've given it some thought. Snagging them with a big azz trebel could work and technically would be legal, but if you got caught it would be up to the warden and judge, and I doubt it would fly.
I don't think a sleeping flounder will eat. I've seen it tried.

1 Net 'em.
2 Put a hook in there mouth.
3 Toss 'em back out.
4 Reel 'em in.

Not that much different than a Karankawa indian hunting the shallows at night with a torch and a spear.
